The 2009 independent film comedy Paper Heart stars Charlyne Yi (Knocked Up) as a young actress/comedienne who has never been in love and is quite skeptical about love. A documentary film crew follows her as she travels across the country (and even to Paris) to find out what other people have to say about love. Along the way, she falls in love with actor Michael Cera (played by actor Michael Cera).
Among the people she meets along the way is NEPA native John Pivovarnick.
John was awesome to stop by the Reference Department for a video interview (my first for the blog) about working on the film, working with Charlyne Yi, attending the Sundance Film Festival, and critics. John was genuinely one of the funniest and nicest people I've met. He even autographed my Blu Ray for me. Below is a video of our chat (Thanks to Sheli McHugh for filming and Elizabeth Davis for editing).
Paper Heart is available to borrow on DVD from the Lackawanna County Library System. To place a hold, click here. We also have a non-reservable copy of Paper Heart on Blu Ray.
